Back in 2014, we were one of the industry’s trendsetters. With our many years of expertise in meat and sausage technology, we focused on meat-analogue products at an early stage and can offer the food industry fool-proof formulations in terms of appearance, texture, and taste and that are in no way inferior to animal products. It goes without saying that the focus is on ensuring food safety and shelf life throughout every stage of production up to the point of consumption. It takes real expertise to process vegan raw materials so that their binding and texture are just as good as those produced by conventional food manufacturing processes. New raw materials that, in turn, have new and suitable properties due to their characteristics and in combination with other ingredients are the recipe for success here. Especially for this purpose, VAN HEES has founded the “Department of Science” research centre that develops and analyzes new raw materials and processes in cooperation with universities and laboratories in order to be able to offer fool-proof and tasty formulations for the growing future vegan market.
